New, AI based games (Sora)
Jason McDowell, founder and CEO of Toma software (no URL ??) presented Sora, a new interactive game model for mobile phones.
Combining AI with mobile web browser content customization, the company hopes to have a unique community based model. Each user gets a virtual presence in form of an online 'character' The character can be programmed to react with environment in certain way. It remains alive even after user goes offline and can interact with surroundings and other characters in the same space.
This is unlike the standard video game concept where the character only stays while the user is logged on. The business model assumes that users will login for few minutes every hour or so, and not remain glued on the screen for hours.
